I still remember my teenage days when I was always finding ways to make a small amount of money by doing small trade ins. There are many people who still try to make small cash from the things they do not use any more. From used clothing to old mobile phones which they do not need or use any more, there is no doubt about the fact mobile phones have become an integral part of our everyday lives and there is a huge amount of money that can be made in every single house hold by selling these gadgets without hassle. We have tons of gadgets lying around in our houses from old used laptops to old gaming consoles such as Sega and Nintendo’s PlayStations, XBOXs etc. which could have been sold for a lot of money when they were still in use and still had some demand associated to them. Having said that it does not mean that any of these devices hold no value but in many cases it’s also been witnessed that the mobile phones which were state of the art phones around 20 years ago lost their complete value 10 years ago, have since started re surfacing again as very popular collectible items. Thus increasing the value of such devices once again.
Most of the times I have noticed these gadgets do not get sold because we are too busy with our everyday life problems. But if you look closely and pay attention it can be a very hassle free way to earn some money whilst putting in only minimum effort into it. For instance I had my IPHONE6 with a broken screen which I wanted to get repaired but ended up buying an IPHONE 8 instead. If I would have had spent a little amount of my time in trying to sell my IPHONE 6 a year ago when I purchased my IPHONE 8, I would have been able to receive more money, compared to what I was offered a couple of days ago.
Recycling really does make a big difference when it comes to devices with batteries in them. Not only is it better for the environment, it also saves a lot of money. At the moment, in the UK only 12.5% of gadgets are being recycled according to another report. There are more than 350,000 mobile phones that are thrown away every single day.
I believe there are millions of people out there like me who do not care until its way too late. I would like to emphasize on the importance of recycling websites out there such as Rapid phone buyer who have adopted a state of the art system on their website which can provide an instant quote of how much your mobile phone is worth. Before you send in your device keeping the process as transparent as possible. As previously mentioned trends for such devices change almost in real time, so it’s important to act quickly to maximize any money returned for such devices.
